(2007)(Alternative) Solid Chicago Band with a bouncy and pop sounding album. You’ll be hearing this album played to death. Love a million ways to be cruel and invincible. Great effort. Not typically my cup of tea but it’s well produced and has good energy like a bull in a china shop at times.

My Brightest Diamond -
Bring Me The Workhorse
(2006)(Alternative) A Golden Star of a album and ironically a great song. Nice coordination of orchestral swells and electronic sounds/instruments. Almost like Portishead served up slightly more sophisticated. Great female voice thats rich, lush and deeply sad. Beautiful album and a must have.

Post-War
(2006)(Alternative) Feels like someone deliverying a book of modern short tales. Well written and crafted songs. Not on of those albums you’ll instantly like. It grows on you. Blues, Jazz, indie rock. A Classic!!

Sound of Silver
(2007)(Alternative) Wow! Kraftwork and Spoon had a baby. Great energetic album that will have you dancing! A must have. rating:

Myths of the Near Future
(2007)(Alternative) Amazingly dynamic and driven dance beat music. Interesting harmonies and experimental sounds. Great!

Give Me A Wall
(2006)(Alternative) Driving, loud, obnoxious, off key singing, drilling music with a great beat. Love the songs consecutive numbering concept. Great band!

Keane -
Under the Iron Sea
(2006)(Alternative) Great band, Average effort. They put a lot of work into this album but it falls flat overall. Sounds like a movie soundtrack.

Giant Drag -
Hearts and Unicorns
(2005)(Alternative) A voice that is similar stylisticly to Kim Deal in "The Breeders". Her voice has a carefree, pissed off, treated me wrong Liz Phair attitude too. I like this aspect of her style. Annie Hardy and Micah Calabrese are onto something fresh and chewy here with their wailing guitars and memorable themes. Very dirty and grungy goodness for a music experience. A must listen and buy.
